Food Protection Manager's Certification

California state law requires food service establishments to train their staff in accordance with an approved Certified Food Handler Program. This course is the ServSafe Manager’s level program offered by the National Restaurant Association. The certificate must be renewed every 5 years.
The class is a 6-hour intensive course followed by the 2-hour exam. The Nutrition and Foods lab is also used during the class, for demonstration of commercial kitchen layout.
Topics covered include: -Hygiene -Sanitation -Food storage -Health regulations -Basic work skills
